The Belvedere has quickly gained a good reputation for good food at reasonable prices. Full meals are available in the restaurant or the bar from 12 noon and again from 5pm. At weekends, food is available all day in both venues.

Meals are also available in the Lounge Bar, which is very popular for lunches. On fine days, the garden bar also provides outside eating, and there is a safe children's area. The lounge bar offers panoramic garden views which means diners can have their meals looking out on the garden but avoiding the vagaries of the weather.

The restaurant also provides lunches in a more subdued and relaxed atmosphere. Tourists who take the trouble to walk up Evan Street from the Square are able to enjoy tasty meals at affordable prices.

Coach parties of up to 40 people can be catered for and are made very welcome. Visitors on outings to Dunnottar Castle or Banchory often stop off at Stonehaven for lunch, and the Belvedere is a popular place for them.
