I absolutely loved my stay at the BELVEDERE from the moment I checked in greeted by Sheila. She helped me out with a mini fridge for my Guinness, brie and chocolate, and advise as to a dinner venue. The Scottish brekky next morning was next level. Beds comfy, shower great, just absolutely above my expectations. Sensational! Sweens

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Belvedere. The host was very thoughtful in having our room made ready early after I having asked him if we would be able to drop off our luggage before check-in. We received a hospitable welcome, made even better by the beautiful landing with leaded glass windows. The complamentory breakfast was tasty, and we were happily surprised to see vegetarian and vegan alternatives to the standard full breakfast. The room was clean and it shows that the guest house’s owners take pride in their establishment.The only downside was the matras, which unfortunately was not comfortable at all. We only stayed for one night, but had we stayed for longer we probably would have asked for a different room due to this. Besides this issue, there is really nothing to detract! Would definitely return here!

Just visiting Stonehaven because....I had booked into a rival/not really a rival at all establishment in the town, stayed one night and left. So I found my way to the Belvedere: good value, clean, fine breakfasts and the hosts were both friendly and helpful. No ensuite but then that is fine at that price: the shared bathroom was spacious and clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed my autumn break in The Belvedere Guest House in Stonehaven. Occupied aquiet little room with cloakroom (shower room next door), which was comfortable and clean and contained all the facilities I required. Breakfasts were excellent, setting me up for the days of walking and exploring, and the hosts made me feel very welcome.

I was on business and this was a good value stay.It’s in a great location within the town of Stonehaven.Clean and good breakfast.I’d recommend!

Only one night, but easy to find with parking and good communication about keys etc as I was arriving relatively late.Stairs up to second floor are quite narrow and would be awkward for the less mobile but up to the first floor is a lovely grand staircase in traditional style.Room was fine, everything worked and plenty of coffee tea etc.En-suite cosy with electric shower but clean and good towels.TV was small and remote had seen better days but just about functioned but I needed sleep not TV. Breakfast made to order and excellent choice and quality.For the price I paid it was excellent value for money and a nice change from a corporate box!

The guest house is a beautiful building! My room was good, I had a shared bathroom but never noticed anyone else using it, so it felt like my own. The owners are lovely people. They checked up on my my experience multiple times, and gave me tips on things to visit etc. Breakfast is wonderful: many options, all of them really tasty!

Everything was great and friendly…

I felt pleasantly welcomed by the gentleman on duty when I checked in and immediately felt at home. This guest house suited me well as I love buildings with character. I travel light so a room on the top floor was fine for me.I booked one of the small none ensuite single rooms with access to toilet and shower just along the corridor.I was happy with my lovely cosy little room and its nice to have a traditional room key. The added bonus of this room was being at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and therefore nice and quiet.I loved my morning decent of the wide traditional sweeping main staircase with the lovely stained glass window halfway down. There was a good few choices of cooked breakfast on the menu and I was pleased and enjoyed my choice.I plan to book another stay in October and probably again in the spring.

For the price cannot fault it. Nice size room, clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast included in the price. Private parking too. Owners friendly too. Reasonable internet. The speed was enough for doing a bit of work on an evening. I was on the top floor so could be faster lower down. Nothing to find fault with.

The single room and shared shower room were both very pleasant, comfortable, spotlessly clean and everything worked well. A warm welcome and a nice cooked breakfast made my short stay a pleasure. Would be happy to stay again.

A nostalgia trip for those who remember when no one expected en suite facilities in every room and were happy to walk down the hall to a shared loo and bathroom (or in this case shower-room). The bed was perfectly comfortable and the room fairly basic but clean - and more spacious than would have been possible if they had tried to squeeze a toilet and shower into the space. For a vegetarian, the breakfast is no better than adequate; two small veggie sausages are hardly equivalent to the sausage, bacon, haggis and black pudding that carnivores are offered. Nevertheless, the hosts are very friendly and hard-working (they appear to have no employed staff), it's good value, and I may well return next year.

A warm welcome, a clean comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. An ideal place to stay if visiting Stonehaven. No hesitation in recommending the Belvedere Guest House. Will definitely be staying again on our next visit.

After our wedding reception 62 years ago in the hotel it was a pleasure to return and enjoy the B & B hospitality at the Belvedere. Everything was excellent!

In Stonehaven for the weekend two days after my wife’s cataract op, she needed a fridge and freezer for her meds. Arranged instantly. Nothing too much.Modern, spotless, comfortable accommodation.

I really like this Guest House. It's a purpose built 100 years old building with a great stained glass window. Staff was very friendly, room clean, good breakfast and bed. No complaints.

WE have a great stay in the belvedere BnB.The owners are very kind, welcoming and very helpful. Family Room is very nice ! Breakfast is excellent.There are even vegetarian and vegan breakfasts.We had the Scottish breakfast, so delicious.The Belvedere is located in the city center, Dunnotar Castle is accessible on foot from Stonehaven harbour.We travel by train and the hotel is 10 minutes downhill!To leave the owner called us a taxi (2 min by taxi to get to the station) so we avoided the coast with the suitcases :) thanks a lot !

A quiet big room looking out onto the rear garden with a nice bathroom and its large shower. A very classy building. A large choice for the breakfast. The cooked breakfast is typical and tasty. We recommend this guest house, run by a nice and efficient person.

I arrived at 11am and just wanted to drop off my bag - but my room was already ready! Breakfast was great, you can choose of a wide range, so no buffet. I had Full Scottish and took half of it with me as it was plenty. Room and bath were also nice and clean.

Arrived in the “Belvedere“ on my cycle trip through Scotland. The gentleman in chargeme a warm welcome. Had a wonderful cosy little room and in the morning a delicious breakfast completely served on my table. Price and what you get are in a perfekt relation. If I‘d come back to Stonehaven the Belvedere would definitely be the place for the night.

Great positioning town, very close to amenities, bars, restaurants. Really accommodating . Great facilities. Clean fluffy towels, comfy bed and the best choices for breakfast, food served was piping hot, well presented, had the full breakfast, wow,keep you going all day. Top up for coffee. Lovely place run by very nice people. Everything you’d hope for from a classic b&b and I’d happily stay there again.

Although there were no staff when I arrived in the evening, the key access instructions were clear and easily followed.Room was adequate and comfortable, Wi-Fi worked well and there was a good choice for breakfast.Staff positive and welcoming.Location just a short walk from center of this engaging seaside town.

My daughter and I stayed for one night in the twin room on the second floor. The room was airy and light and the arrangement of the beds meant that there was plenty of personal space. The room and ensuite were beautifully prepared and the toiletries were of a good quality. I had a wonderful sleep in a very comfy bed. There was a good selection of breakfast items and everything was delivered to the table freshly cooked. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Used this as a base for a wedding I was attending nearby.Price was fantastic, great communication and staff were very accommodating as I was likely to be running beyond the latest midnight check in time.I made the staff aware of this a few weeks prior to my stay.The single occupancy room was clean, comfortable, with tea, coffee and biscuits and the shared bathroom is modern and spotless.The breakfast was fantastic.Thanks for a lovely stay, will definitely use them again in future.

My dad and I stayed here for the first night of our 2 week trip and were very impressed! The service was great, kind, and welcoming. The rooms are comfortably sized and the private wash closet was great. It's situated just up the hill from the main part of town, which is a lovely 5 minute walk. We would gladly stay again if we head to Stonehaven in the future! Thank you so much!

Had a nice stay, the couple running the place were very nice and accommodated for an early breakfast since we had to leave early morning. Food was yummy, room was quiet and comfortable, good location to walk to around downtown and harbour.

Very comfortable and spacious room in a friendly, family run Bed and Breakfast. Parking is conveniently right outside the front door and the BnB is close to everything that the town has to offer. You must walk along the seafront to the beautiful Harbour and try the World Famous Deep Fried Mars Bars from the local Carron Fish and chip shop.I must of course mention that Dunnottar Castle is absolutely stunning.

The prices per night are reasonable in comparison to less homely accomodation in StonehavenThe rooms are lovely,clean and warm and the owners are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. We stayed here overnight. The house is located near the centre of Stonehaven and the pretty harbour area is not far away. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. There is good off-street parking at the Guesthouse too. I would certainly recommend staying here.

I had wonderful 2 nights at the „Belvedere“ in Stonehaven. Mick & Sheila are very warm hosts and I would have loved to stay longer.I had a cosy single room and slept very well in a wonderful bed. There was a sink in the room, a kettle and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was in the corridor: it is newly renovated and very well maintained.The breakfast is very tasty: I chose scrambled eggs, a croissant with jam and coffee. There is also orange juice and another freshly prepared breakfast selection and numerous drinks. Thank you Sheila for your very kind hospitality. I will be very happy to come back and recommend you to my friends.

Lovely place, clean, central, and with parking space outside. Attractions such as Dunottar Castle are only 5 minutes away by car. We will definitely consider this B&B next time we visit the area.

Our stay at the belvedere was very enjoyable only a couple of minor faults.A mirror was needed near a socket to enable ladies to sit comfortably while drying hair and putting make up on and when we ordered toast at breakfast it wasn't toasted very well other than that it was a very pleasant stay thank you kind regards Irene Bill

We have just returned from an amazing weekend in Stonehaven as stayed at the fabulous Belvedere Guest House. We cannot thank the owners and Rachael enough for all their help from when we checked in to our departure. She went over and above sorting out all our questions. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. I had a few issues prior to us arriving with the room bookings, but all was dealt with efficiently. all in all in was a great weekend and will certainly book there agian.Thank you!!!!

Absolutely fine. Been before so knew what to expect. Only slight issue: no milk in the room so any tea I made for myself was without milk. Meant to mention but forgot but did hope would have been noticed on the 2nd day particularly as the small Biscotti biscuits' had been replaced.

We have just returned from our second visit to the Belvedere Hotel and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts who work hard to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay. We had a family en suite room which was very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were a welcome addition. The breakfast menu offers a wide choice using good quality ingredients and the service is excellent. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Stonehaven. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Good choice for a night away! The Belvedere is in a great central location in a fantastic seaside town. We had a lovely spacious room with ensuite…very comfortable bed and a superb breakfast too! Good choice of cafes and independent shops…we had a really lovely meal in the ‘Carron to Mumbai’ Art Deco Indian Restaurant.We would certainly stay at the Belvedere again.

Consiglio questa graziosa e curatissima struttura nella bella Stonehaven. Le camere sono spaziose e ben organizzate, il bagno pulitissimo, anche quello in comune che ho avuto modo di utilizzare oltre il tempo di permanenza previsto (i gestori infatti sono stati molto gentili e ci hanno permesso di usufruire del parcheggio privato gratuito oltre l'orario di check-out). Colazione molto buona e abbondante, con varie possibilità di scelta (prevista anche colazione vegetariana e vegana), posizione ideale per passeggiare al porto e per raggiungere a piedi il Dunottar Castle.

The Belvedere is a lovely family owned and run hotel in a good position near the town centre but away from bustle. There is a range of room sizes and types and a residents’s lounge and well cared for garden at the rear.Excellent home cooked breakfasts including locally sourced ingredients.And, of course, friendly and helpful service!

This could not have been a more perfect place for our children to stay during their school trip. The rooms were all highly comfortable, our breakfasts were second to none and the hosts could not have done more for us, even giving us a lift to the station to help with all our luggage! A wonderful stay that meant a truly special trip to Stonehaven.

we appreciated the room and the position in the town, but the breakfast is too slow, i.e. you have to wait too much to order and to have something to eat.

A very clean BnB. Twin room was spacious and comfortable beds. The only thing I found difficult was the stairs especially the last ones. When we checked in the owner was really pleasant and carried our cases up for us. Good choice for breakfast and freshly cooked. Would stay again.

We had the family room with en suite. The room was cozy in size (to be expected) but clean. We had fluffy large white towels, generous soap/shower amenities, and spotless white linen. We arrived late but the owner kindly accommodated us; and even though theplace was hosting a folk festival celebration the owner gave us her parking spot in front of the hotel which we greatly appreciated. The owner & staff are very gracious and make their guests feel welome. Definitely recommend.

Great location, close to city centre and harbor. Very friendly staff who made me feel welcome. Clean, comfortable room with a sink. I walked 3 steps to the shower room and it was always open when I needed it and had modern facilities with very nice shower. I would definitely return

We had a wonderful stay at the Belvedere. The hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and super clean. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. We would most certainly stay again.

Guest house was clean and comfortable. Hosts Sheila and Mick sorted everything for my stay from putting a small fridge in my room, booking taxis to serving an early breakfast for guests who had an earlier than standard breakfast start.Would highly recommend staying here as a solo traveller I was made to feel very comfortable.

I enjoyed my visit to Stonehaven and the Belvedere was certainly a positive part of my experience. Staff is welcoming and helpful, breakfast was very nice. Room was clean and had all I expected. Perhaps a bit small as I'd have welcomed also a small writing table, which my room didn't have but it had a toilet with wash basin which was a plus.

We had a group of 6 adults and 6 children.The rooms were lovely and worked well for our needs.The hosts, Michael and Sheila made sure that we had everything that we needed.When we left, we ended up leaving several things behind (kids fleeces and such).They were kind enough to contact us and mail the items to the hotel in Edinburgh before we left Scotland at the end of the week!We cannot recommend the Belvedere Guest House enough! Wonderful stay and wonderful hosts and the town of Stonehaven was beautiful!

Excellent location right in the center and minutes from the beach. Clean and large room with a very small bathroom, a bit too hot. Both Scottish and continental breakfasts were very good. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed a night at the hotel. Excellent service. The Hotel owners a couple were very helpfull. They prepared early breakfast at 6.00 for us for an event we were attending. Also arranged a cab for us and gave us varous tips to get around.Thank you so much.

The Belvedere is a lovely and affordable little hotel/bed and breakfast. It is close to the city centre and has really nice rooms with a great breakfast. The owners are the loveliest couple, that make sure you always have what you need. It was so lovely staying there and would definitely recommend it.

Me and my partner stayed for one night at the Belvedere, celebrating our first anniversary with a wee trip away and what a lovely stay it was! The hosts are absolutely amazing, very kind and helpful and didn't mind us checking-in a little earlier than expected. The room was big and spacious and the ensuite bathroom was very tidy. We slept so well, the bed was very comfy! Finally I want to say the full Scottish breakfast we had in the morning was delicious and filled our stomachs for the whole day 😊 We would definitely come back and I'll make sure to recommend this place... Had a fabulous 2 night stay. Upon areiving i felt so welcome, the greeting was informal and i felt welcomed into someones home.Lovely old building, very well loved and cared for. My room was perfect, comfortable, clean and all i needed.I presume it was the owners that i met at breakfast, lovely people and genuine interest in ensuring people have what they need, and good conversation. Breakfast all i needed, fresh ans hot. Cant please everyone, however i would have enjoyed some fresh fruit as an option.Loved my stay, great central location, quiet and comfortable.Highly recommend.

This beautiful little b&b is the perfect place to stay in this small town in Stonehaven. Being given the free access to the place by having a front door key and a room key in one. It has a lovely bar and restaurant within the building making a cosy evening available without having to leave the place. It is situated within a 5 minute walk from the town and the stone beach, providing beautiful views just at the door step.

This is my first time traveling overseas and I'm doing this trip solo and was a little apprehensive about the shared bathroom situation, but had a wonderful stay with no issues. Very clean and comfortable, and great location - close to the train station and cliff trail that leads to Dunnottar Castle (which was why I was there). Easy check-in and check-out process. I'm just bummed I couldn't stay for breakfast as I had to catch an early train to my next location. Would definitely recommend this place.

I wanted a place near Balmoral and LochNagar, and I chose Stonehaven, which I knew nothing about, but I like being near the sea. I originally booked three nights at the Belvedere but this turned into five nights. I'll just say; Dunnottar Castle, The War Memorial, cliff and sea walks, HBF, the Golf course, and the friendly open people; the shops and bakeries; and the very cosy, relaxing, and simple in the best way, Belvedere Guest House, with welcoming, helpfulhosts. I never did make it to Balmoral or LochNagar this time around, but I plan to come back.

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Belvedere.The husband and wife team were attentive to my needs, but not underfoot. The room was clean and the house centrally located.I could quickly walk to the shore, to a restaurant, or the shops in town centre. I have enjoyed their hospitality before, and I hope to do so again!

My husband and I stayed at the Belvedere as part of our holidays in Scotland. It's hard to exaggerate their helpfulness from the very moment we arrived to the moment we left. As always it's the little things that count and from allowing us to leave our suitcases ahead of time to forgiving me for leaving our room key with the station master at Stonehaven station they were just the best. The food is delicious and the premises calming and tastefully decorated.Don't stay anywhere else is my recommendation!

A one night stopover on my way to Turriff. Easy to find, parking at front of hotel.Facilities were fine, I had a single room with own loo,shared showerroom next door. We stayed at the Belvedere for a night. Located close to the train station,town, and the start of the walk to Duttonarie Castle.Cosy room 11 on the top floor (2nd). Great wifi. From the room you can easily spot the War Memorial on top of the hill, which is on the way to the Castle.Breakfast was perfect, with my first time eating haggis.

Stayed in this lovely hotel as we were attending a wedding locally. On arrival the staff were friendly and attentive, getting us booked in and keys to the room given. The room was lovely, spacious with en-suite. We had a fantastic meal in the bar in the evening which was well priced and perfectly cooked. Breakfast was included in the price which was a full Scottish. Definitely would stay here again if I have occasion to over night inn Stonehaven. Thankyou Belvedere.

This is a family ran Hotel with a convenient location, free parking and a lovely garden to the back. The Hotel is an older property that has been adapted for a modern day traveller, has excellent service and feels personal. The breakfast is very good, although the finish time of 9am on a weekday is early when on holiday. The particular Room used was adequate, although the en suite is fairly small and care is needed when showering to prevent excess water escape. Two small things, the fan over run after turning off the bathroom light is too long and noisy and also the extractor fan grill needs to be cleaned. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in returning.

I only stayed the one night due to personal circumstances and lady said she would refund me but not been refunded yet xWould have liked shower in room as I had to wait a very long time before I could get into it in the morning as other people using it .

I couldn’t recommend the Belvedere enough, as it was one of the best experiences I have had, staying at a Hotel. The staff were warm and friendly, the room was spotless, comfortable and extremely pleasant, while the food was superb. All at a very reasonable rate too! Loved my stay at Belvedere Hotel! Its convenient location is about a 15 minute walk from either the train station or the harbor. The woman I presume is the owner was very kind and friendly, as were the young men who helped carry my luggage up the stairs and served lunch. The building is beautiful & well-kept, my bed was comfortable, the shower was hot with good water pressure. The food was all delicious (highly recommend the berry cheesecake!), and this was overall a great place to stay near Dunnottar Castle (a must-see!). I would absolutely stay again if I ever found myself in Stonehaven again.

When we arrived I explained I had asked for twin beds which was a typo on my part. Despite that Sheila organised things to the extent we were given a very spacious room to the front of the hotel containing a double bed and a single bedand a sofa for relaxing etc. The breakfast was well cooked and hot. Also the hotel had gluten free bread for my wife. The only slight negative:there was no continental style breakfast consisting of yogurt, fruit etc which we sometimes prefer.

just stayed over 2 nights with my son the owners were very pleasant as were the staff well stocked bar great well kept beer garden very clean and tidy throughout the hotel only had one evening meal there which was superb a generous helpings worth every penny would stay there again without doubt if we are in the area just short walk to village and seafront and just about 15 minute walk from train station if like us thats your means of travel

I stayed at the Belvedere as part of my trip for the Mackie Academy Class of 82 school reunion. The night itself was great. The stay at the hotel, with the lovely room, friendly staff and excellent food just enhanced at great weekend. First time back in Stonehaven for many years. Will return soon and definetely be back at the Belvedere.

Good central location with parking. Room was bigger than single rooms in many other places. Very clean with a lovely comfy bed. Not en-suite but the shower room was just along the corridor and very clean. Good breakfast, excellent dinner menu and a very nice pint in the bar. I'll stay there again.

Even in these tricky times, visitors get a warm friendly welcome at The Belvedere.The rooms are clean, tidy and cosy, and there is a good selection to choose from for breakfast in the spacious dining room.The bar was closed for drinks slightly earlier than usual because of the pandemic, but snacks, meals and drinks were still available until 10.00pm.The Belvedere is a beautiful building- I especially love the staircase with the stained glass window, with a beautiful, respectful and friendly staff.

The Belvedere has a very homely atmosphere, the staff were lovely and very sympathetic, our visit was due to a family bereavement, we would stay again. Thanks to all the staff.

The owner and staff were very accommodating when I asked for a quiet room and also with my special dietary requirements. The room was comfortable and the hotel location was good. I would definitely stay again - thank you!

We had a really nice stay. The staff were so friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. Just one little thing, the heating in the room was not turned on. Once we got into the room we turned it on, but the room was veryvery cold for ages. In fairness it was the weekend ofstorm Arwen and it was particularly cold.

Stay at least once a year , came up this time on a last minute decision and although just a short stay lovely as usual , nice family run hotel with friendly staff a d great food , like a home from home , definitely be back soon

I stayed Belvedere Hotel in 2days. The service and room were so great. Room was clean,and staff was so kind. Furthermore, There is pub on the ground floor. Dishes were so delicious. We can enjoy variety of beer and cocktails. The breakfast was also great. I ate ideal scottish breakfast. I want to stay here again when I come to stonehaven from Japan!!!

My partner and my brother and I all stayed here at the end of an excruciatingly long day in which we'd been on the road for nearly 12 hours while my brother drove us and all our belongings in a van to Stonehaven for a housemove. We were all completely shattered!The Belvedere took such good care of us, with lovely food and drink, friendly faces, a great deal of patience with us all being very discombobulated. They even upgraded us all for no extra charge to ensuite rooms, which after the day we'd had was just superb! We had an evening meal in the bar (gorgeous), beer (mine was nonalcoholic - I note a range of four nonalcoholic beers) - and then in the morning a superb full Scottish breakfast each. My partner and I are both lactose intolerant and soya milk was provided for our rooms, and vegan spread for our morning toast. (I noted some excellent vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options on both the evening and breakfast menus.)The rooms were lovely, the beds gloriously comfortable, and we all slept like logs. We'll be heartily recommending the place to friends and family coming to see us in Stonehaven. :-)

Loved every minute of staying here, was travelling myself with my 20 month old daughter, it was comfortable, cozy,And a very pleasant experience.All the staff went out of there way to make sure it was an enjoyable stay and nothing was a hassle.A travel cot was all ready set up in the room for me, it’s aGreat location,Great food and drinks down at the bar and restraint.The room was spacious, and very clean.Loved every minute of it, would definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel!

Straight in the door, you're met with pleasant smiles. I even got a free upgrade.The food is amazing and the Bar has almost everything on tap. Karaoke nights are great. Everything settles down after 22:00 for a great sleep. 07:30 for the inclusive breakfast.The bedroom was great (Two single beds) with an en suite. I'll stay here again in a heartbeat

Very late arrival which was not a problem for the hotel, they had left a plate of sandwiches which was appreciated.Very comfy bed, the food is very good, staff very friendly as are the owners Sheila and Mick.Third time that we have stayed there, ideally placed for the Market Square and the sea front, would recommend.

We had a great one night stay with our little girl age 3 was nice just to be somewhere else for the night and visit donnatar Castle which is only short drive away and a walk along the beach. The breakfast was great which was included in price. I couldn't fault anything.

Absolutely ideal for our needs. Plenty of room in the spotlessly clean room, very welcoming proprietors and staff, food excellent served in the quiet secluded beer garden. The Belvedere is exactly what we require as a base to allow us to travel around and visit other places of interest and is what we enjoy on our break. We will certainly be back.

The Belvedere provided a homely sanctuary during a very difficult period of travel restrictions and restaurants closed at 6pm. The staff provided delicious food after our working day and special requests for breakfast. The hotel was clean snd safely following Covid restrictions. The room was comfortable . Thankyou

Having known the Belvedere most of my long life, I had only ever been into the bar with my late Dad. So it was good to see more of this lovely, well maintained building and stay in a comfortable room overlooking the town.The staff are so helpful and friendly and I wish them all well through these tricky times.

There was no Internet access in the room but everything else was fine especially the delicious cooked breakfast!Ample parking too.

Travelling after lockdown was a bit of a worry, but the Belvedere Hotel's friendly, helpful stuff out us at ease. The room was clean and comfortable and easily big enough for an adult and two teenagers. The location is convenient for the station and the breakfast was lovely as a family of two vegans and a vegetarian, we have seldom been so well looked after. Thank you for a great stay.

I found the Belvedere to be a lovely hotel, well situated with convenient free parking right outside the front door. The staff were kind, efficient and very friendly. The owners are welcoming, approachable and accommodating. A nice bar, and a good menu choice and nice food mean you don’t need to leave the hotel to search for options, however the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and around 10 mins to the harbour.Rooms are simple, but clean and warm (handy for a Scottish coastal winter!) and exactly what you need for a short stay! Would stay again and can happily recommend.

We arrived late on a weekday after a long journey. They made us comfortable and we were very glad to have a 'home from home' while attending a family funeral.Stonehaven itself is a lovely seaside town with good facilities and great coastal walking nearby.

We stayed at the Belvedere en route from Edinburgh to Orkney. The room was quite comfortable, very clean and with everything one needs. The restaurant was excellent - we ate both breakfast and dinner there. I'd happily stay again, and wished I'd had more time to spend in Stonehaven.

I stayed for only one night without breakfast, for that purpose it was perfectly fine. The house is a bit outdated but clean and has great location. Washbasin in room is a good thing. The lady who was on duty when I arrived was nice and helpful. They were able to meet my request for early check-in (10 am). On the other hand, the kettle in the room didn´t work. I was promised packed breakfast as I was leaving early but in the morning there was nobody to speak to so I left without it.

I booked five single occupancy double rooms online (by email direct with Hotel). On arrival plenty of room on the car private car park, warm welcome. All rooms clean and tidy with everything that is needed. Good showers and heating. Little disappointed that the window couldn't be opened. The bar had only one real ale on pump but the food for the evening meal was excellent and the wine selection was good. Staff friendly and worked hard especially the only waitress on in the evening. Breakfast was spot on. Highly recommend this hotel, would happily stay here again

Dart team day out always at the Belvedere I decided to stay the night .. the room I got was perfect as I have health issues, reception staff and bar staff couldn’t have been better . Catering was outstanding the variety of menu meals plus the fact I’m coeliac and could get anything I wanted. The breakfast was extremely good and always served with a smile. I commend the staff for there service and their courteous approach to the job. I spoke to my friends the following day and it looks like they will be joining me at the Belvedere on an overnight stay. Thanks once again for putting up with me.

Found the staff and accommodation good and value for the price. The first floor is being decorated which would just make the surroundings a little more bright. Food portions and cost were good. Bar prices also o.k. Would stay again if necessary.

We stayed for one night at The Belvedere on Saturday 22nd September 2018 whilst attending a golden wedding anniversary function held in the hotel. Everything was spot on including the fantastic, reminded-me-of-home breakfast!However, I do have three minor disappointments which hopefully will be addressed by the management. They are:(1) having to check in using the lounge bar with all the patrons hearing everything that is said (2) the mattress in my particular room had springs popping out the side as you sat down on it and it was very uncomfortable to sleep on and lastly (3) although the en-suite bathroom looked to have been newly decorated and was lovely, there were absolutely no hooks anywhere on which to hang clothing. Surely a hook or two on the back of the door wouldn't be out of place and would help to offset the difficulty in finding somewhere to put one's clothes.

So many hotels promise the "Warm and Friendly Welcome" but fail to achieve, well not the Belvedere. From the moment we made first contact with a member of staff when we arrived it was great.The Belvedere is a beautiful old building, tired in places, but the price reflects this.One thing thats even better than the warm welcome is the quality of thefood, it is great. I had Rhubarb & Berry tart as part of my Sunday lunch, simply the best sweet I've had in any eating establishment in 2018, wow it was fantastic. By the way the Beef Stroganoff is brilliant as well.Must go back as we were struggling on what to order.I'm giving 4 stars based on the fact some parts of the hotel is tired, but rooms were clean, bed linen was clean, staff friendly and food excellent.

Our room was on the second floor front. There was no noise from the bar at the back of the floor below. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Staff were helpful and courteous. Stairway to 3rd floor has narrow and winding staircase.

We loved our stay in the Belvedere in Stonehaven. We were only here 1 night and having the restaurant downstairs was perfect for us. They even had amazing gluten free food for me and my son, being celiac. Wonderful included breakfast, comfortable beds, great shower, great location.

Personale gentile, camera pulita e colazione molto buona, nonostante non ci fossero le torte nel breakfast menù abbiamo fatto richiesta e ci hanno portato due fette di dolce senza nessun sovraprezzo. Per chi si ferma a stoneheaven è assolutamente consigliato

Had a lovely stay - room was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable and the meals served were excellent.

We have been here just one night, with two young children, the room was big and well furnished, beds cobfortable. We had dinner here and the beer garden is delicius, the food good. All the people working here has been kind and very welcome with us! Thank you, hope we will be back one time!

Quite decent for an older building, the breakfast and service were excellent. We did not have enough time for an evening meal there but they looked good. Would stay there again when in Stonehaven.

Perfect location, in the near of the centre and all the primary necessity and at 5 minute walk to the beach.

The Hotel is a gem, with personality and the old days atmosphere. The bedroom very spacious and comfortable, excellent breakfast, exceptionally kind staff. We really enjoyed our brief stay.

This trip was with my daughter. We usually do holidays on Mothers day. 2015 we did a trip to London.My husband I holiday in Stonehaven. He has family roots there /COLEMAN. His grandparents and uncles are buried in the cemetery. We were there the past 2 years with daughter and 2 granddaughters.We will definately be back again next year on holiday.The Belvedere is the best place to stay.We enjoyed our stay very much.My daughter had a great time.We met Tanya a few years ago. She is a wonderful person.A real hard worker.Say HI to her for me.Thanks again for your hospitality.Judy

Such a nice hotel with great staff! They made me feel welcome and were Very accommodating with my late arrival time. The night clerk helped me with my bags and overall were super. I stayed at the very top of the building and the bed was very comfortable. The building was very quiet too.

I needed a cheap single room for one night, safe and clean with nice breakfast; and I got all that. The super friendliness of the staff was the icing on the cake.

5 Star ServiceOnly stayed for one night, early morning work the following day.Continental Breakdfast left out for us as too early for cooked breakfast.Will deifinalty use this hotel again.Very Friendly staff and evening food was excellent.

I had booked a single room with shared bathroom but on arrival, to my pleasant surprise, I was upgraded to a double room with en-suite, at no extra cost. I also enjoyed a meal & a pint in the warm & friendly bar. The Gammon was delicious!I was sent on my way the following morning with a full Scottish Breakfast. Excellent! Thank you.

great place to stay 5 min walk to beach and shops very clean and spacious and very friendly staff with a nice big breakfast to set you up for the day would definitely recommend and would stay again

What a wonderful find! Sheila and her team made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in to the time we left. Very pleasant room and great food. Breakfast was a treat in itself. Will be looking for a reason to stop over in Stonehaven and The Belvedere again. A totally enjoyable experience.

Our room was very comfortable but as we are on the large side my husband found the shower a bit small. We were attending a birthday celebration and the food was lovely with a great choice.

Just spent this weekend at the Belvedere. Lovely clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and atmosphere as soon as arrived. Busy pub st the weekends so expect some noise, but nothing to complain about. Lovely food and made to feel welcome thoughout the stay. Nothing to complain about at all. Will definitely Br back!

Went to Stonehaven to trace family, the staff in the hotel were very helpful, food very good, the hotel was very clean. Thank you girls for everything.

The hotel's location is very central, within walking distance from railstation and harbour. The staff was very friendly and the room clean with all facilities needed.

Warm and friendly welcome on arrival and received a free room upgrade as hotel wasnt too busy during my stay. Room was spacious and clean. The lady who served breakfasts was friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. The Full Scottish breakfast were excellent. Hotel is convenient for the Market Place, Sea front and Harbour etc.Would highly recommend the Belvedere for your stay in Stonehaven

Nice place in good position

The staff in this hotel are especially good at customer service. The housekeeper bent over backwards to accommodate us and checked us in. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. The lady serving breakfast was also especially helpful. great stay.

Stayed here recently, staff were very friendly, nice atmosphere and room was clean and comfortable. Decor/surroundings in general need a little TLC/modernising but wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Very accomodating for breakfast, nothing was too much trouble and excellent choice for all diets.

I spent a few days at the Belvedere whilst visiting the North East.A very warm welcome and staff were pleasant and helpful.Rooms very comfortable with all facilities on hand. Central location and parking also a bonus.Wouldn't hesitate recommending Belvedere - hope to return soon.

Thanks very much - comfy room, good value, tasty breakfast. Only gripe was lack of curtains in bedroom, and hence light at 4am.

Had a wonderful stay this hotel also catered for my brother's wedding reception. Food was lovely and well presented rooms were clean staff and the owner's were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.If I had to criticise it would be that there was no cot for the baby and we had to borrow a moses basket from friends of my brothers.The hotel is ideally situated and withing easy walking distance of the town and railway station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Thank you Jackie

The food and Staff were excellent, the room was very small but this was reflected in the cost. I will stay again and be prepared to pay more for a larger room.
